Millennium 2 - Take Me Higher is the sequel to Millennium: A new Hope. It is an indie adventure rpg with a turn-based combat style and a girl named Marine as the main protagonist. The game can be played with the mouse or the keyboard.
It continues the story where it left off and it brings new characters and new locations to explore. While some locations are largely left the same way they were, some of them are changed a bit. The game offers 4 levels of difficulty and there is an option to have guiding arrows showing you where to go to complete the current quest you're on. The combat is turn-based, which allows the player to formulate strategies against his opponents. This is very useful in boss fights where it is necessary to combine a lot of skills together for maximum damage.
You can import your character from Millennium and benefit from the items and level you achieved there. The game is a lot more fast-paced than the previous one. Here you start off with 3 companions from the beginning and they all have items and high levels. The monsters are also better right from the start, and more diverse than before. You have more items and more side quests to play with and the overall the playtime is longer. Also some of the quests are of a different nature than in the first game. The storytelling is somewhat linear and it is done through dialogs with your companions or other characters in the world or with cut-scenes. more
